After a full week of classes and the Course Challenges everyone was ready to relax and celebrate their achievements. In the afternoon, students enjoyed some free time; some played a friendly game of football, others went shopping in Bicester Village, a group explored the city further, and some headed to Oxford’s Natural History Museum.
Inside the Natural History Museum, students also discovered the Pitt Rivers Museum, displaying the archaeological and anthropological collections of the University of Oxford. The Museum now houses over 500,000 historical and archaeological items, many of which have been donated by travellers and scholars from around the world.
In the evening, students gathered back at their houses in order to get ready for Oxford Scholastica’s International Ball. Noor graced us with a beautiful gown showcasing her national dress.
Martin and Russell were crowned the kings of the dance floor, and Pietro and Leone won the award for the best photo poses. After a fun night of music, chatting, Snapchatting, and dancing the students headed back to their houses.
St Thomas’ students gathered in the common room following the Ball to celebrate Faisal’s birthday with songs, cheers, and cake!
