The day of the Oxford Scholastica International Ball arrived to the excitement of many and to the surprise of a few unprepared. St Thomas’ was filled with the smell of brunch, luring many out from their well-earned lie-ins. Heroes began to flow into the building as students had the chance to meet with young professionals making waves in the industries of their futures. In the afternoon the students headed off on a number of optional activities; heading to Bicester for some retail therapy, off to Evensong or engaging in a fiercely contested football session. Down at the football Valeria dominated with stellar defending and general enthusiasm, while Emily scored three stunning goals, one in the opponent’s net. Dr. Angus also scored a 40 yard screamer into the top right corner, from about 10 yards out. After everyone returned we set out for the International Ball on the River Thames, cutting shapes to pumping music,  filling any moments of silence with passionate sign-alongs and generally partying up a storm. Returning late to the accommodation, everyone reluctantly went to bed in preparation for another week of activities.
