The day started with our students heading over to class, enjoying another busy day of learning with their tutors. After their class and a chance to finish any homework they had during independent study it was time for everyone to head into Oxford for our back to back masterclasses which were focused on helping students with both career advice and help with university decisions. This was found to be extremely helpful for our students, with the talks covering topics such as the specifics of the UK application system, personal statements, interviews, and even how to decide what type of career is right for you.

After the busy day so far our students grasped the chance to recharge their batteries with some much needed food as everyone headed over to Gloucester Green to choose from a wide variety of restaurants to dine in with their friends! Gloucester Green night is always a highlight of the course as it gives students a chance to have dinner in a restaurant of their choosing, in smaller groups than usual, that can be made up of friends from across all the houses.

Later on in the evening we were treated to our Happiness masterclass, discussing in depth ways that happiness can be managed and maintained during difficult periods. Michael Plant, a current PhD candidate from Oxford University delivered this engaging presentation which always proves popular for its great balance between personal experience, philosophy, and practical advice.
