The first Monday of the summer school started off bright and early for everyone at Oxford Scholastica. Studying courses ranging from Computer Science to Enterprise Academy, the students had their introductory classes in the morning and met their tutors for the first time.
Following lunch, OSA students were led on a tour of Oxford to see the most popular historical and architectural sites. The students got to tour around Oxford and see the Radcliffe Camera, the Covered Market, Christ Church Meadows, Magdalen College, and the Ashmolean Museum.
After learning about Oxford’s architecture, history, and notable residents, the students were split into teams and set out on a Scavenger Hunt around Oxford to explore the city competitively! Some teams took the speedy approach, whizzing around Oxford to try to get to as many Scavenger Hunt locations as possible, whilst others spent extra time at each location studying all of the clues to guarantee that they had the correct answers to the puzzles. Oliver, Maria, Lara, Shehrbano, Nour and Trishla won the competition for the most fun photo outside of the Sheldonian Theatre.
There were only winners at OSA though, because after dinner everyone got to enjoy some delicious G & D’s ice-cream. Alex couldn’t stop at just one serving and ended up eating at least 3. Being a great connoisseur of ice-cream he highly recommends the berry flavor!
