Do You Have a Health Condition?

We’re looking for friendly people with experience of healthcare to share their experiences with small groups of 12-18 year olds who are interested in becoming doctors in the future.

The Oxford Scholastica Academy is running a ‘Mock Clinic Challenge‘ for students studying on our Medicine courses. The event aims to give the students an experience of speaking to “patients” as well as an insight into patients’ experiences of their illnesses and the healthcare system.

We are particularly interested in people who have experience of chronic diseases and have a wide variety of healthcare experiences, but we are happy to hear from anyone.

The event will be coordinated by an experienced medic, and students will be expected to keep all information shared with them confidential. No physical examinations will happen, and “patients” are under no obligation to answer questions and they may terminate the interview at any time.

See below for more details if you are interested or contact us if you have any questions.
