Arrival day started on a high note as students were greeted by a sunny and beautiful Oxford, as well as excited Oxford Scholastica Activities Coordinators. The day was spent settling into the three houses and exploring Oxford with family and friends.
Some students decided to take a quick nap before the festivities began in the evening, whilst others were ready to make new friends and explore the city right away. Groups of students chatted eagerly and already started making connections with their classmates and housemates before deciding to head out with an Oxford map and a GoPro in-hand to see some of the more famous Oxford landmarks.
In the evening, after the final goodbyes were said, everyone had a delicious barbecue dinner in the grounds of the Oxford Castle before participating in some ice-breaker games. Charades and Splat were crowd favourites, but the very competitive game of Rock Paper Scissors proved to be the loudest as the cheers from the students were heard all around the Castle.
Everyone was ready to head back to the accommodation and get some well-earned rest before the first full day of the summer school.
